Dosage (Adults) (Oral):
Take 1 teaspoon (5 ml) twice daily.
Risk information:
Consult a healthcare practitioner if you experience acute abdominal pain, blood in the urine, or if you are taking prescription medication (such as anticoagulants) or other natural products.
Discontinue use and consult a doctor immediately if you experience dizziness, vertigo, confusion, chest tightness, weakness or muscle pain, abnormal heartbeats, difficulty breathing, or if an allergy occurs.
Consult a healthcare practitioner if you are on a high potassium and/or nitrate diet or if you have a history of kidney stones.
May cause nausea, vomiting, diarrhea, abdominal cramps; discontinue use if these symptoms are severe. Discontinue use if your complexion turns pale or bluish and consult a healthcare practitioner. This may be a symptom of methemoglobinemia, a rare disorder that can appear up to 2 hours after use.
Contraindications
Do not use if you are breastfeeding, if you have heart disease, high or low blood pressure, a liver disorder, diabetes, or edema, or if you are taking diuretic products.
